What is the Virtual St. Joseph Altar?
- The Virtual St. Joseph Altar, which made its online debut in February of 1999, is set up in the tradition of the Sicilian St. Joseph Altars of New Orleans.
- During the month leading up to the March 19th Feast Day, visitors have the opportunity to place virtual offerings on the Altar. There is no charge to do anything at the Virtual St. Joseph Altar!
- Visitors can also make prayer requests. These are open year ’round. As you visit the Altar and the other pages of this site, I ask you to pray for all who have made prayer requests.
- The Virtual St. Joseph Altar is now in its 28th year!
- For info and updates all year long, be sure to join us on Facebook, Instagram, & the Virtual St. Joseph Altar blog. Or, join our email list to be notified when the next Altar opens and to subscribe to our monthly newsletter.

2026 Recap & Thanks
The Virtual St. Joseph Altar has been online for 28 years! During the month of March 2026, the Altar had over 4000 visitors, and 110 offerings. Visitors hailed from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Australia, and Indonesia. Virtual St. Joseph Altar Facebook and Instagram activity was at an all-time high. I thank all who participated, making this such a worthy honor to St. Joseph.
The most popular pages of the site included the Novena to St. Joseph, symbols, prayers, and history. And, of course, the 2026 Find a St. Joseph Altar page!
