Every Wednesday is St. Joseph’s Day

The Church assigns a devotion to each day of the week. Wednesday has traditionally been set aside for St. Joseph. So, let’s not just think of St. Joseph on his two Feast days because every Wednesday is St. Joseph’s Day!

The following prayers are taken from the “Days of the Week” section of Blessed Be God, Complete Catholic Prayerbook:

In Whatever tribulation they shall cry to me, I will hear them and be their protector always.

V. Obtain for us, O Joseph, to lead an innocent life.
R. And may it ever be safe through thy patronage.

Let Us Pray

O God, Who in Thine unspeakable providence didst vouchsafe to choose blessed Joseph to be the husband of Thy most holy Mother, mercifully grant that, as we venerate him for our protector on earth, we may deserve to be aided by his intercession in heaven. Who livest and reignest forever and ever. Amen

  • St. Joseph is gentle, but strong. He said “yes” to God to take Mary as his wife. And what wonderful father figure for Jesus. He loved his family and sure they were always protected and well provided them with comfort and peace.
I love you St. Joseph and I pray to you each night. Thank for watching over me and my family.
    Blessings and love, Shirl Mott
